Biography: Just a fun note: My wife bought my AN as a birthday surprise directly from Gary at the Texas Star Party in 2007. The only time we went. Rained the whole week. Oddly enough, it was a blast. We got to see McDonald Observatory one day. After we left, we stayed at Balmorhea State Park and had a beautiful clear night. We got up before dawn, watched stars until it got light, and then watched birds for several hours. We would love to go back to the TSP one day, in hopes that it might not rain!
